Our commitment to teaching is one of the key drivers of our success and we invite applications from enthusiastic, inspiring teaching-focussed academics who would like to join our team.

The Computer Science course team is interested in appointing new staff in the specific areas of:

We require a teaching fellow with appropriate technical skills in programming, theoretical computer science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. This post requires expertise in programming (including concurrent, parallel and asynchronous, and dynamic), particularly Python and C++; programming paradigms; algorithms and data structures; theory of computation; artificial intelligence (including its relationship to data science); and machine learning.

You will be responsible for the delivery and support of learning, teaching and assessment at undergraduate and postgraduate level. You will work closely with the course teams to help provide the high-quality learning environment our students expect. You are likely to be involved in module, curriculum and degree development, and course directorship is also possible.

Applicants should hold a post-graduate degree in Computer Science or a related subject. Professional qualifications and/or memberships are also welcomed. Experience of working in higher education will be very useful and excellent programming and general computer science skills are required.

You will need to share our passion for delivering a positive student experience that puts excellence in teaching and learning at the heart of everything you do and will be able to demonstrate significant knowledge of your area of specialisation.

As one of Coventry’s biggest employers we will provide an excellent benefits package and a personal and professional development programme that will help you to achieve your aspirations.
