We are now seeking a LGV Class 1 Day Driver to join us on a permanent, full-time basis at our Erith, London depot.

The Role

As an LGV Class 1 Driver, you will complete deliveries and collections of building related products across our dedicated Howden’s depots and Yusen depots across southern England.

There is no manual handling, although you will be expected to ensure the products are secure. This is not a multi-drop role – you will only complete on average between 1 - 3 deliveries and collections per day.

Your start times will approximately be between 5am and 7am but some flexibility will be needed to fit in with the needs of the business.

About You

To be considered as an LGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:

• A full, valid driving LGV Class 1 licence
• At least two years’ commercial LGV Class 1 driving experience
• A maximum of six points on your licence (excluding BA, CD, DD, DR, or DG codes)
• A valid DCPC qualification
• A valid Digital Tachograph card
• Excellent communication skills
• To be customer-focused
• To be able to work within a team environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• A flexible approach to your work and the ability to start at different times if necessary
