Here is a breakdown of what you’ll be doing:
- Orchestrates the process of launching all items onto Mr Porter.
- Collaborating with all teams to execute regular 5x weekly uploads as well as special events.
- Communicating important dates and deadlines and providing visibility of these to the wider business.
- Setting upload dates and performing technical as well as qualitative checks for the go-live process.
- Prioritizing key items for expedited warehouse and studio processing.
- Scheduling all items for studio production. Forecasting studio capacity requirements.
- Ensuring the shortest possible lead time to market. Proactively streamlining all processes to scale for growth and propel Mr. Porter into the future.
- Support Senior Upload Planner with day-to-day team management.
- Provide the studio with short term capacity forecasts allowing them to plan the workload for all teams and maintaining the flow of product to site.
- Review and edit uploads to ensure that they achieve the best offering to the customer, satisfy financial needs and enhance visual merchandising output.
- Create and maintain upload catalogues for the migrated platforms.
- Allocate product to the upload for assigned regions ensuring all key sales drivers and launches are included.
- Edit, revise and share the priority trackers weekly to provide the Inbound DC teams visibility of business priorities.
- Prepare and update weekly trade information providing updates vs KPIs.
- Keep a strict schedule and enforce deadlines for all teams, whilst remaining flexible if urgent priorities arise.
- Carry out thorough checks before and after product is made live, to ensure a smooth launch each day, in all regions.
- Maintain an acute awareness of the Buy.
- Troubleshoot problems and put plans in place to avoid repetition of issues.
- Attend trade, and studio meetings to provide and receive updates on deliveries, uploads and special projects.
- Visit UK distribution center and studio on a regular basis to build and maintain relationships with key operational contacts.
- Have flexible work hours as called upon – early starts or late afternoons, bank holiday availability, some weekends, etc.
- Support the Senior Upload Planner and Upload Manager as called upon.
The type of person we are looking for:
- Degree-educated with relevant experience gained in the Retail industry with E-commerce preferred and/or exposure to Merchandising, Buying and Inbound warehouse functions.
- Organized and efficient with proven ability to work to stringent deadlines.
- Can prioritize a multitude of tasks in a dynamic and effective manner.
- A great communicator who genuinely enjoys working with others and responds to queries in a timely manner.
- A positive, can-do attitude.
- Comfortable working with a global team in separate offices and time zones.
- Can maintain high standards in day-to-day routines whilst multitasking other long-term projects and working under pressure.
- Has exceptional attention to detail, especially in carrying out routine checks for website product information.
- A self-starter who is process and results-driven with a genuine interest in Retail Operations, Merchandising and Warehouse operations.
