Finance Assistant

An exciting and progressive opportunity for a Finance Assistant now available within the Wates Living Space Finance Team in Enfield. Successful individual will be working within the FP&A function. There will be exposure to monthly management information reporting, as well as elements of business partnering and general accounting duties.

Key Accountabilities will include:

• Assist Management Accountant with Business Unit Reporting
• Month End journals and assistance with month end close routine
• Assist Management Accountant with preparation of monthly Balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with the monthly intercompany reconciliation process
• Support the Finance Team in implementing Wates standard systems, processes and procedures
• Assist with preparation of Vat returns
• Ad hoc reports and financial support

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and confident individual with a flexible approach to work. Demonstrate good organisational skills including the ability to multi-task and prioritise work under pressure to the deadlines set. Effectively communicate with non-finance staff in a friendly and courteous manner, establish and maintain working relationships with Clients and colleagues at all levels. Works well as part of a team but also independently using their own initiative where appropriate.
