As a QA Engineer within the Information Technology team here at Watchfinder, you will analyse business requirements, define test scripts, execute test scripts and monitor/manage bugs from testing of new projects and features across Watchfinder products.

You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality digital features and journeys across all our platforms, working closely with our in-house software developers, engineers and product team to fully understand business requirements to ensure comprehensive testing is completed.

We are looking for an individual who puts quality first and sees the value in a good QA process. You will be an excellent problem solver, with an eye for detail and the ability to think of scenarios that others might not. You will own the quality of the user journey from planning phase to the release to the live environment.


How will you make an impact?

  • Translating application storyboards into functional test cases (BDD)
  • Assist the Development & Engineering team in assessing and improving testability of applications
  • Work with Software Developers and support personnel to identify defects and raise bugs where appropriate
  • Utilise various functional and load testing tools as appropriate, to automate the execution of complex test cases
  • Participate in feature planning & release sessions
  • Understanding and maintaining software quality for features built by defining test plans and approaches ensuring comprehensive testing is completed
  • Working closely with the Product Management team to fully understand the business requirements to ensure test plans are fit for purpose and are fully scoped with timelines for completion
  • Ensure that all documentation such as written test plans and test scripts are all completed
  • Staying abreast with the latest, state-of-the-art testing tools and automation platforms/techniques

How will you experience success with us?

  • Significant experience in software web automation testing and software quality assurance
  • Knowledge and working experience of UI testing frameworks, e.g., Selenium, TestCafe, Cypress, etc
  • Knowledge and working experience of API automation testing frameworks, e.g., Node Fetch, Postman, etc
  • Load testing best practices and frameworks e.g., k6, Locust, JMeter, etc
  • Knowledge of Gherkin or Cucumber syntax
  • Exposure to TypeScript and/or node.js
  • Good team player and able to work on own initiative.
  • Proven ability of establishing strong, effective working relationships at all levels.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and technologies
  • A self-motivator able to work independently and flexibly with an ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

2nd Stage – Video interview with the Software Development Manager & QA Team Lead. If successful, you will then be sent a test to complete ahead of final interview.

3rd Stage – Final Interview with two other members of the technology/QA Team.
