About Us


Early Help and Targeted Support services in Warwickshire have seen some exciting changes, helping to ensure children, young people and families access the right support at the right time. This was recognised by Ofsted in our 2021 inspection where we were grade Good in all areas:

We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent, full time Early Help Social Workers (Advanced Practitioners) to join our service covering the South of the County supporting the Warwick District and Stratford District Early Help teams.


The post holder will work systemically across the locality with multi-agency partners to support children, young people and families at the earliest opportunity to prevent their needs escalating. They will be required to contribute to the learning of others, provide training, develop and lead an area of expertise such as mental health. Partners in schools and across the Early Help Network are particularly crucial and you will be expected to attend and support various network events in your locality to offer advice and consultation.


About the role:


  • To contribute to the plan of support of children and families open to Early Help to prevent escalation to Children’s Social care.
  • To be an allocated worker to children, young people open to Early Help and deliver direct interventions as required.
  • Deliver training and support colleagues through coaching and mentoring.
  • To support Early Help teams and the wider Early help Network providing consultation, advice and guidance in relation to children and families open to Early help.
  • To support children, young people and families to successfully step down from a Social Care interventions to Early Help.
  • To work Countywide in the absence of Early Help Social Work colleagues.
  • To provide duty support to Early Help colleagues.
