What you’ll do
Reporting to the Commercial Operations Director, you will be responsible for leading and delivering New Car Sales performance in the industry changing Direct Sales model within the UK. You will also manage the Inside Sales, CBV and SME businesses and coordinate the contribution from other new car channels whilst also creating an environment that inspires a high-performance culture. Working within the new direct model, you will provide stretch thinking and recommendations, challenging the status quo and be empowered to work with the Senior Management Team to deliver the strategic goals of the business.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Own and drive UK strategy for new cars
  • Support and develop channel strategy and recommendations for car line mix
  • Lead EV strategy overdrive
  • Set KPIs and targets for sales teams
  • Lead and inspire with the new model and ways of working
  • Work closely with the network operations team and Acquisition & Retentions team to drive new car KPIs across volume delivery and consumer experience
  • Ensure delivery of all key KPIs for Care by Volvo, SME and retail
  • Manage immediate and future channel strategy for YoY increasing new car volumes
  • Develop plans for key business priority areas including EVs
  • Liaise closely with the Go to market manager on key launch areas
  • Ownership of the Inside Sales Team, Virtual Sales Consultants, Quality Assurance Team and Sales Operations Manager
  • Be the lead contact for new car sales across the retail network, ecommerce and marketing teams

What you‘ll bring
You will be a collaborative leader, with experience in building relationships and a strong familiarity within new car sales volume strategy and best practice. You will have the ability to lead and work in a multi-skilled diverse team and have an agile attitude, taking ownership, accountability and providing solutions and recommendations.
A purpose driven leader with a strong desire to deliver market leading solutions in the automotive sector, you will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and situational adaptability in an environment with shifting demands. You will need to comfortable with pushing boundaries with ‘can do anything’ attitude. Happy to challenge the status quo and provide stretch thinking i.e., from good to great. Comfortable using initiative to take decisions within governance framework you will have the ability to story tell through data and evidence to build a compelling strategy.
