Fixed term 2 Years
We invite applications for a motivated and approachable individual to join the Oxford Future of Marketing Initiative (FOMI).
This is a research initiative which was started in 2016 and it is one of the main research centres/initiatives at Saïd Business School.
You will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of the Initiative by facilitating vital links between the research undertaken by FOMI’s academic researchers and relevant business audiences.
FOMI’s research has an impact on the business world through communications, content and engagement/knowledge exchange activities, all of which you will be responsible for developing and delivering. In this role you will therefore ensure that the research produced by FOMI is known to relevant audiences in and has an impact on the business.
You must work very closely with the academics who are part of the FOMI team and corporate partners to find the most effective ways to share FOMI’s research findings with the business world.
To be considered for this role you will need to have:
  • Experience working in a complex organisation and in a university or a corporate environment
and experience with developing and implementing strategic communications plans that target
business audiences.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and/or in the absence of detailed information, using one’s
initiative and experience to deliver high quality work on time.
  • Evidence of tact and discretion in dealing with confidential or sensitive situations, personnel
matters, legally protected research matters and confidential research data.
  • An understanding of the main aims and challenges in the Higher Education sector, an
appreciation of the special features of working in one of the world’s leading universities, and
an understanding of the work-related challenges and pressures faced by academics at
different career stages.
Further information on this role and how to apply can be found in the job description.
