Kettle's Yard is hiring for Visitor Assistants to join our fantastic Front of House Team. Visitor Assistants (VAs) are a public facing team which oversees the day-to-day security of the exhibitions and collections while also ensuring visitors' experience of Kettle's Yard is safe, enjoyable, accessible and informative.

This role functions across both the historic cottages and the newer exhibition galleries. VAs are required to fulfil their dual function of safety and visitor engagement across both locations. No prior knowledge of Kettle's Yard, Jim Ede, or fine art is required. Successful candidates will be given training and will also be expected to learn on the job through research, active engagement with the collection and exhibitions, and through self-guided study. The VAs will report into the Duty Manager and Operations Manager and work as part of the Front of House team.

Kettle's Yard is open to the public between 11am and 5pm, Tuesday through Sunday.

Typical shift times for full day shifts are 10.30am - 5.00pm. There will be opportunities for additional hours to cover occasional evening events and sickness/holiday cover. Regular weekend working will be required in all posts, please state any preferences for working patterns indicated in your application.
