The University of Cambridge is one of the largest recipients of European Framework funding anywhere in the world, and in support of its continuing success in attracting EU and International funding an exciting opportunity has opened-up for a research support professional to further develop their career within a busy and dynamic research office.

The Research Operations Office (ROO) is looking to recruit a highly numerate and experienced research administrator ideally with some supervisory experience to join the EU and International team. This varied and multi-faceted role will afford the successful applicant the opportunity to gain a thorough and specialist knowledge of European Framework funding as well as major international funding schemes. Among the role's core tasks will be interpreting EC Framework funding regulations for Horizon Europe - as well as previous frameworks such as Horizon 2020 - managing and undertaking the financial reporting and administration of a number of projects and supporting staff with their financial reporting. AAT qualified, or with an equivalent financial qualification or level of practical financial experience - ideally gained within a higher education institution with an emphasis on European Framework funding - you will be a self-starter who enjoys the challenge of mastering complex financial regulations to produce accurate and timely financial reports, as well as contributing to clear and consistent processes to manage such.

If you have the aforementioned, plus excellent troubleshooting and time-management skills, coupled with an attention-to-detail and an ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation, we would love to hear from you.

The post holder will be based in the Research Operations Office, reporting to the Deputy Research Manager - EU and International and will work closely with other colleagues in the Research Office and across the University.

Your application should clearly set out how you meet the criteria listed in the person specification (the skills and experience required for the role) along with relevant examples. Candidates will be shortlisted based on these criteria.
