The role

This position offers the successful applicant a fantastic opportunity to join the Centre’s large and expanding International Foundation Programme (IFP) team.

You will be contributing to the continued development of the University of Bristol IFP as a world-class provision that attracts diverse, high-quality students and provides them with an excellent educational experience.

What will you be doing?

As the Accounting and Finance Subject Lead, you will be leading on the Centre’s Level 3 provision of the Foundations of Finance and Economics unit on the IFP alongside the Economics Subject Lead.

You will be expected to evaluate and further develop materials and assessment tasks in line with Intended Learning Outcomes for each unit, ensuring that they enable students to succeed not only on the IFP, but also on their chosen undergraduate programme at the University.

You should apply if

  • You have extensive experience of teaching Level 3 students with an international background.
  • You have experience of high-quality syllabus and materials design which take a learner-centred approach and meet the needs of a diverse cohort.
  • You are an experienced professional who can work as part of a dynamic teaching team.

Additional information

Flexible working is available from home or office, when not teaching or attending meetings. Regular Centre-lead CPD sessions, as well as the University sessions are available to all staff.

For informal queries, please contact Ajay Sarda, as3013@bristol.ac.uk

Please note: we are reviewing applications on a fortnightly basis and the vacancy will remain open until the positions has been filled - the closing date is therefore nominal. Suitable applicants will be called to interview as soon as possible after submission.

The University of Bristol aims to be a place where everyone feels able to be themselves and do their best in an inclusive working environment where all colleagues can thrive and reach their full potential. We want to attract, develop, and retain individuals with different experiences, backgrounds and perspectives – particularly people of colour, LGBT+ and disabled people - because diversity of people and ideas remains integral to our excellence as a global civic institution.
