An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit an enthusiastic doctor to join our trust.

We are looking for fixed term full time doctors to work within our Medicine Department mainly in theAcute Medicine department. These are fixed term posts covering the Junior Doctors rotation of 5th April 2023 (one post is to commence asap) until 1st August 2023and will optimise your clinical experience and enable you to gain relevant clinical competencies.

The posts are based at Queens Hospital, Burton and will form part of the Medical On-call Rota with out of hours commitments.

Please note this is not a training post.

You will be supervised by senior colleagues, and you will have the opportunity to attend teaching sessions to enhance your knowledge and skills, access to an electronic portfolio and the opportunity to participate in Quality Improvement Projects.

University Hospitals of Derby & Burton NHS Foundation Trust provides health care services to the residents of Burton upon Trent and surrounding areas including South Staffordshire, South Derbyshire and North West Leicestershire. The Trust is strongly placed to provide outreach and community-based clinics, all of which are supported by a dedicated team of clinical staff and senior managers. The Trust has a keen interest and extensive involvement in Medical Education at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. We work in partnership with Leicester Medical School, Health Education England in East Midlands and Health Education England to provide quality education and training which meets the requirements of these regulatory bodies as well as the Trust’s high standards of patient care.

All applicants must hold Full GMC with a licence to practice, satisfactory completion of foundation year one, 6 months clinical experience in a UK Healthcare setting andbe able to commence in post in April 2023 (at the latest).
