We are looking to recruit a committed enabler to support a 8 year old young boy who has a diagnosis of autism. The support will be offered to provide a range of activities within the local community to include walks in the park, countryside, and woodlands. On occasions drives out in the car.
Main Duties
- To support for 4 hours per week in school holidays with activities in the local community with an additional 4 hours (8 per week x 6 weeks) in the summer holidays
- To build a secure relationship with the young boy and his family
- To encourage interactions appropriate to the activities being accessed
- To prompt the young boy with toileting needs when required
- To administer medication if required and full training will be provided
Essential Criteria
- Have a high degree of initiative.
- Be punctual and reliable.
- Be flexible.
- Have a happy positive caring nature.
- Have an outgoing personality.
Rates of pay
£11.91 per hour. 5.6 weeks holiday (pro rata)
Out of pocket expenses will be met by the Employer. This post is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check and references (Cost to be met by Employer). Car driver is essential and must have Business Insurance.
