The Role

We are looking for a hard-working and dedicated lead delivery driver/operations & warehouse manager to join our team.

You will be the face of our small business so we are seeking an individual with legendary customer service! You must be friendly, confident and have exceptional verbal and written English communication skills. Our events can be very time sensitive (wedding days!) and punctuality & reliability is therefore essential.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Organising, picking and loading inventory on to vans (usually 3.5T Luton with tail lift)

Securing loads for safe transport

Moving inventory around warehouse by hand, sack & pallet truck and dolly

Route Planning

Scheduling & delivery planning

Manage van logistics and book additional rental vans if required

Driving vans to and from events around UK

Maintain clean and tidy vans

Regular weekend work would be required during our busy season (May-September)

Occasional late nights (past midnight)

Occasional overnight stays for long distance events

Some basic set up on site (training will be given)

Assembling some of our custom built pieces on site, e.g. bars, backdrops etc

General cleaning, painting and repairs of inventory as required

Warehouse organisation and management

Inventory checks, cleaning and damage reporting

Organise inventory maintenance and repair when necessary

Experience and Skills

· Full, clean UK MANUAL driving licence

· Minimum 3 years driving experience with some experience of driving 3.5T vehicles (7.5T experience would be a bonus!)

· Trailer towing experience a bonus

· Delivery driver experience preferred

· Fluent in written and verbal English

· You MUST be physically fit & strong. There is a lot of lifting and carrying of furniture, some heavy and bulky, which can be physically demanding.

· Friendly, confident, and polite

· Hardworking and reliable

· Some experience of basic carpentry preferred

· Strong attention to detail

· Able to take direction on site from clients, wedding planners etc.

· Be an excellent problem solver and think on the job if issues arise

· Have a reliable mode of transport for getting to and from our warehouse (if not your own van)

· You must be a team player with a positive attitude and good sense of humour!

Willing to muck in where needed. We are a small business, so everyone is expected to perform various duties as required to maintain our brand’s reputation and to keep everything running smoothly.

Will consider van owner/drivers with clean, reliable, unbranded vans (Luton with tail lift preferred)
