The Scottish Rugby store, as part of the Macron Retail UK network is looking for an enthusiastic and outgoing retail assistant to join our Glasgow Queen Street store.
The individual will be required to deal with a fast-paced, ever changing retail environment and have a forward-thinking attitude in order to provide a high level of service, maintain the store’s standards of cleanliness and accurate stock management.
Flexibility is required to work shifts over a 7-day week.
The role is based in the City Centre store and will include assisting in match day retail at Scotstoun Stadium for all Glasgow Warriors home games as well as BT Murrayfield stadium for Scotland international rugby matches.
Although previous experience in retail is not essential, experience in a customer focused role is preferred as we pride ourselves on our staff’s ability to interact well with a wide variety of customers.
Key Accountabilities
Help maximise sales by providing a friendly and professional service to customers.
Use upselling techniques to promote products and hit targets set by store management.
Maintain stock levels and ensure high standards of organisation in the stock room.
Have a pro-active attitude and thorough approach to checking off stock and deliveries.
Confidently process returns, postal and over-the-phone orders.
Laisse with management to ensure the smooth running of all operational procedures.
Operating of match day retail within a tight knit team.
Competencies
Relevant retail/events experience and understanding of till systems preferred.
Strong communication skills between colleagues and management.
Ability to build relationships with colleagues and customers to provide effective service.
Competency lifting and moving heavy goods.
Full UK driving licence preferred.

Salary: £10.00-£10.50 per hour
