At The Prince's Trust, we’re passionate about supporting young people aged 11 to 30 to get into jobs, education and training. You’ll play a key role in engaging the hardest to reach young people across Merseyside, through outreaching to referral partners and onboarding them onto our programmes.

You will join one of our Engagement Programmes in Liverpool. Our Engagement Programme offers young people a mix of fun group activities and one-to-one support to develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed in the future! This ranges from confidence building sessions to supporting interactive sessions with delivery partners such as ASOS and Sony.

What does a Youth Development Lead do?

As a Youth Development Lead (YDL), you will be at the heart of our Delivery Team. Every day is different as a YDL and there are always exciting projects for you to get involved in. Your day-to-day activities to make an impact will include:

  • Reporting any safeguarding concerns for young people on your caseload, including completing complex risk assessments, liaising with external agencies, and producing safeguarding reports.
  • Working with young people over the whole duration of a programme, to build their confidence and transferrable skills.
  • Writing, developing, and delivering educational sessions, both face-to-face and virtually, utilising digital technology (including MS Teams).
  • Delivering outdoor learning sessions such as paddling, orienteering, bushcraft incorporating theory based models such as Plan, Do and Review.

What experience do I need?

If you believe you have the passion and skills to help young people change their lives and the job description excites you, then we really encourage you to apply! Our young people and employees come from diverse backgrounds, and we would love to hear the different perspectives and experiences that you could bring to the team.
