Learner and Discovery Services (LDS) is an award-winning unit of The Open University responsible for the production and delivery of the University’s curriculum; it also has a central role in the design of learning materials.

The role

We are looking to appoint a highly motived Project Co-ordinator to work within a small team supporting Student Experience and Learning Adjustments (StELA). StELA is a programme that supports students in their studies through anticipatory learning adjustments that enable student success.

The post holder will play a key role in supporting the current operations getting printed packs to students by agreed service level agreements. Working within a small team and with a variety of teams across the University to progress recommendations for change to improve the service and range of learning adjustments to students.

Skills and experience

  • A levels or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience of co-ordinating projects or comparable activities, keeping to specific timelines and delivering on goals.
  • Demonstrate evidence of excellent written and communication skills and an ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at various levels. Preparing documentation such as agendas, papers, minutes, and reports.
  • Experience of using data and interpreting its meaning in context.
  • Strong IT skills including the ability to use software packages including Microsoft Office, and internal OU systems such as Power BI.
  • Ability and commitment to learn new skills and work collaboratively across different teams.
