About the role

The Central Project Office supports delivery of Museum capital and temporary exhibition projects by supplying project management resource. We are looking for a Junior Project Manager to take on responsibility for the management of low to medium risk projects and support some of the larger projects, programmes or portfolios by providing programme/portfolio office functions. The post holder will also contribute to the development and continuous improvement of tools and guidance according to best practice and may be responsible for the co-ordination of Museum groups involved with overseeing projects, including providing secretariat duties.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to further their project management experience in a fast-paced and varied environment.

About you

You will have practical experience of supporting and managing projects from inception through to delivery including performing project management duties such as producing reports, schedules, specifications and project/business planning documentation. Project experience within a Museum or heritage environment would be an advantage as would PRINCE2 or another project management qualification.

You will have knowledge of project governance structures and experience of providing a high-quality service to ensure smooth delivery of the project. You should also have some experience of site management including overseeing the co-ordination of construction, contractors and staff operations.
