The Role in a Nutshell

We present an incredible opportunity to join Carla and the team in our new role of Supplier and Spare Parts Project Leader, implemented to support us in our continuous drive of improving operational excellence and customer satisfaction. The role is permanent and full time, based principally out of our UK headquarters in Bracknell, Berkshire with travel to our Service Centres across the UK.

In this role you will be lead the Supplier management and spare parts management of our UK Service Centres, guaranteeing timely and cost effective execution of our 3rd party supplier performance. Effective spare parts management forms one crucial element of our service delivery and this is accompanied by the overall KPI management, relationship management and communication with the Service Centres to deliver a “WOW!” customer experience.

What you will do

  • Monitor the progress of monthly KPIs and performance to ensure adherence or an agreed action plan, ensuring regular onsite visits
  • Ensure that Suppliers are effectively managing their spare parts stock and assure the adequate availability of stock within the UK (warehouse holding, Service kits and van stocks) as a key driver for field performance
  • Optimize and govern the Supplier spare parts stock, maximising the available tools, systems and data (Stock Rotation Index, Stock Value, Non Moving Value, Parts Return and Parts Scrapping)
  • Be a key user of the demand planning tools used for effective spare parts stock replenishment
  • Manage yearly stocktakes for spare parts, including weekend management to minimise customer disruption
  • Organise, prepare and actively participate in all business reviews with the Suppliers
  • Work with internal team to ensure adherence to all Supplier training requirements
  • Work with internal team ensure all Supplier audits and legal requirements are up to date and reported on.
  • Clearly communicate all aspects of the Aftersales business plan and manage continuous improvement measures with the Suppliers
  • Own the communication of all active changes that affect the Suppliers (e.g. changes in key personnel, processes, changes in customer base and new products)
  • Play an active role in aligning key customer opportunities with the Suppliers
  • Identify needs for further potential suppliers and integrate them into partnership
  • Coordinate Supplier-specific support to projects
  • Monitor and action Supplier contracts and bonus payments, monitoring arrangements and activities to ensure contractual compliance
  • Customer Satisfaction – share feedback and drive suppliers to collect feedback from customers in order to implement continuous improvement plans
  • Understand any customer complaints/issues relating to Suppliers and lead their resolution, involving all necessary department in the company
  • Participate in customer meetings where such opportunities relate to Supplier performance
What you will have
2+ years of experience in a similar role
Spare parts stock management skills
Supplier relationship management
KPI/SLA and contract management
Strong time management
Exceptional communication skills - including presentation/meeting management
Knowledge of ERP/CRM systems - SAP / Salesforce / ServiceMax would be a plus
Analytical with high attention to detail
Root cause analysis/troubleshooting expertise
Customer and end-user orientation
Curious problem solving - Sense of initiative, accountability and proactivity
