As Test Manager, your will have substantial experience of Software Testing, with proven experience within the Financial Services Industry and have worked on multiple project types and complexity.

The Test Manager holds a senior technical role with accountability for the delivery of all testing and quality services, which will include manual, automation and performance testing. The Test Manager takes ownership of the quality assurance and testing (QAT) strategy as part of a broader risk-based approach. The successful candidate will also have the responsibility of people managing Analysts within the team

Other responsibilities include:

  • To ensure the coaching and development of colleagues to fulfil their roles and transfer knowledge, ensuring the team is adaptable to testing new technology
  • Provides guidance and assistance to project team members and interacts with the business teams, support teams, development teams and technical teams to ensure Testing meets business requirements and solution
  • Ensuring standards are maintained across the Test function through peer reviews
  • Ensure that the Test team are fully conversant with the regulatory framework affecting the business, embedding a culture of ‘Treating Customers Fairly’ throughout the team
  • To review and monitor Test estimates during the project lifecycle, escalating increases where necessary to the Project Manager and Head of Test
  • Devise, establish and improve our quality procedures, standards and processes, ensuring they meet industry standards
  • Formulate / review software testing strategies
  • Manage software testing resources (Recruit, train, allocate and monitor)
  • Review business / software requirements and provide inputs.
  • Prepare / review test plans to ensure is accurate and of high standards
  • Analyse test results and test metrics.
  • Prepare / review / present test reports.
  • Coordinate with other managers (Project Manager, Development Manager, etc) to ensure the highest level of software quality

Requirements

We're looking for candidates who have:

  • Line Management experience, with the ability to coach and develop less experienced testers reach their potential
  • Proven quality experience in the Testing profession
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience of a variety of test methodologies
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Professionally qualified in ISTQB to Advanced Test Manager level or with equivalent industry experience
  • Proven experience in the Financial Services industry
