THE ROLE

This is a vital new role within the organisation, introduced to enable Table Tennis England to significantly develop their digital capabilities to drive growth and engagement through their digital channel network. The role will be responsible for delivering our new Digital Engagement Strategy that will enable stronger relationships with new and existing audiences, increasing the visibility of TTE and table tennis, improving brand perception and supporting digital transformation.

The role has overall responsibility for all digital channels and technology, email and messaging communications and the brand-new TTE.TV, with a clear focus on user experience, managing and utilising customer data to deliver personalised content.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This exciting new role will form part of the Engagement Team and applications are welcomed from an experienced professional who is seeking to lead and implement their own ideas and practices in a forward-thinking organisation, whilst also acquiring additional skills as we also grow our digital capabilities. It presents a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to develop their profile and reputation across the British sport system and digital marketing world.

The postholder will be part of a competent and established marketing, communications and insight team and will have a close working relationship with the Head of Engagement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DELIVERABLES

Working with the Engagement Team the postholder will be responsible, and accountable, for:

  • The delivery of digital strategies to accelerate and optimise customer acquisition, engagement, retention and loyalty to drive business growth
  • Overseeing the management and development of all digital products including website, TTE.TV, social media (and any other digital channels as they emerge), email, SMS, mobile App etc, resulting in growth in audience size and engagement
  • Utilisation of technology and software to provide better, more personalised customer experiences, starting with email marketing and adding other channels as we develop our use of data.
  • Support with the collection and management of first party data and the ongoing assessment of CRM/digital platforms to better manage and utilise it
  • Line management of Data and Insight Executive; Digital Content Creator; TTE.TV Content Creator, ensuring achievement of KPIs and providing guidance and support
  • Support the Data and Insight Executive to create benchmarks and to continually evaluate performance, growth and engagement through marketing metrics and analytics
  • Technical support to the Engagement Team and, education and training to other colleagues to support the implementation of companywide processes that ensures consistency through our digital engagement and improvements in customer service and satisfaction
  • Awareness of the need for GDPR Compliance across the department and wider business

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Skills, knowledge and experience

Essential:

  • Proven ability to implement highly effective digital strategies and campaigns based on personalized email customer journeys, persona mapping, audience segmentation, conversion rates, lifetime value, retention, churn and renewal rate metrics and data
  • Proven ability to monitor, evaluate and learn how to continuously improve the use of digital channels and customer engagement
  • Expert knowledge and professional experience of digital engagement platforms, websites, content management systems and analytic tools
  • Experience of creating and managing budgets

Desirable:

  • Experience of working for a National Governing Body or other Membership Organisation
  • Experience of managing a team of people
  • Experience of delivering engaging D2C content through OTT platforms
