General Manager - Lobster Smack, Canvey Island

Up to £48,000 DOE

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced high-volume food operator who has a passion for food to manage this amazing pub in Canvey Island.

The Lobster smack is a beautiful business located in the Canvey island. The pub is a 2 floor, 2 bar operation, the fist floor is mainly used for private functions/events, it has a large garden with 100+ seated covers and a fully equipped outside bar, the trade peaks in the warmer summer months because of our beautiful garden. The trade is approx., 50/50 food to wet spilt.

This pub is a great meeting point for locals, walking groups and dog walkers.

The successful applicant must have a strong food background, be able to deliver outstanding standards, a passion for delivering our great Pub & Dining offer through their team, be a part of the local community and ensure their business is the first choice for those that love a great pub! They will also have the commercial acumen to drive events business through the function room in this stunning business.

As a General Manager, you will need to be able to demonstrate great leadership skills and the ability to build a high performing team to control, develop and improve all aspects of the business including: Sales, P&L, people, standards, legal compliance, service and brand integrity.

Previous experience of managing a business with over £8 to £10k net of food sales per week and big functions experience is ideally needed.
