Company Description

We help the world see new possibilities and inspire change for better tomorrows. Our analytic solutions bridge content, data, and analytics to help business, people, and society become stronger, more resilient, and sustainable.

Job Description

Sequel Impact
is one of our market-leading products which offers an elegant Exposure Management solution to underwriters and brokers, who operate largely within the Lloyd's and London Insurance Market. With the backing of our holding company (Verisk Analytics) - we are now evolving our product offering, in partnership with our Verisk colleagues in the USA.

The core focus is to play a senior level business analyst role, supporting a Lead Business Analyst in delivering software projects. You'll work within a specialist team - Sequel and Verisk employees - across London, Malaga and potentially, the USA. Whilst this is a supporting BA role to the Lead Analyst, we're looking for someone who will take initiative and be comfortable engaging with senior management, customers and counterparts, communicating well to develop a strong partnership of process across the London - Malaga teams.

This is a customer-facing role working in an Agile/ scrum environment, with the challenges associated with delivery of B2B sofware. We'd be particularly keen to attract candidates with prior experience in (or a keen desire to work with) Sequel Impact, or who have acuired knowledge of competitor software products in the exposure management, and underwriting markets.

You may be a strong team lead, or a more specialist BA - but you will need to have acquired understanding of the challenges of software delivery alongside LM specialisation.

About the team

It's a diverse group of great individuals, with the commonality of purpose: professional, client-focused, innovation-led, and supportive of each other. We are serious about the quality of our work, and equally serious about creating a culture of inclusiveness and enjoyment in the workplace.

We are accordingly keen to attract like-minded candidates, who understand the pressures and opportunities that come with crafting B2B software.

Qualifications

This role requires some non-negotiable foundation experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in support of a career in software development and business analysis
  • 6+ years experience working within a software product team, as a senior business analyst, in the delivery of B2B software to external customers
  • full lifecycle delivery experience - from requirements analysis and functional documentation stage, implementation of configuration changes, QA testing and review to go live stage
  • Insurance sector experience - London Market
  • Knowledge of Underwriting Risk and Exposure Management , alongside related softeware prpducts would be highly advantageous
  • SQL skills
  • Experience in TFS or a similar Agile PM tool (Rally)
  • Basic knowledge of API's, JSON would be optional and advantageous
