As a Maintenance Operative at HMP Lowdham Grange, you will support the Facilities Management team to ensure the Prison estate continues to comply with statutory maintenance requirements and maintain the health and safety aspect of the estate and the FM team.

Sodexo are responsible for 6 prison sites across the UK and Scotland and HMP Lowdham Grange is our newest prison that we have just added to our portfolio! The prison is currently operated by Serco, and we will be taking over the contract on the 16th February.

• Carry out planned and reactive, maintenance repairs, planned preventative facilities tasks and project work as directed to ensure that operational support is always provided to the establishment
• Work flexibly across trade disciplines as required
• To ensure that all works are undertaken in a safe manner in accordance with good practice and current legislation
• Be familiar with, and adhere to, tool management procedures as laid down in the Local Security Strategy.
• To undertake project work as directed by the Deputy Facilities manager
• All work to be carried out to the relevant trade standards
• Some outside work/grounds person duties
• Working alongside tradespeople to learn trades
• Accurate records of maintenance and repair work to be maintained
• All work to be completed to relevant trade standards
• Ensure all maintenance repairs are carried out in a timely manner
