HOW WILL YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

This is an opportunity to further a career in Business Analysis as part of the SmartSearch Product team. You will produce industry-leading SaaS products in an energetic, friendly environment which values being bold, smart, inclusive and honest.

Alongside Product Owners, you will collaborate with data suppliers and stakeholders across the business, from the discovery phase of new initiatives through to implementation with delivery teams, to refine product requirements and support development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead investigations into new features, facilitating discovery workshops and joining customer calls to understand the problems and find solutions
• Elicit requirements in line with the product vision and roadmap
• Strong empathy and understanding of the importance of user experience and how customer needs can be met in new product designs
• Demonstrate awareness of long-term business goals (3-5 year plan) in relation to the product roadmap
• Communicate requirements –via user flows, user stories, or other means to ensure requirements and acceptance criteria are understood, for both ‘happy path’ and exceptions
• Model supplier APIs for the product; understand background context, business rules and how data can be used to achieve value for the customer
• Collaborate closely with delivery teams; understand the product architecture and design options from an early stage
• Assist Quality Assurance with validation of the product to ensure software features and processes are fully understood and aligned with an optimized and intuitive UX
• Contribute towards improvement in ways of working; promote better ways to deliver the product and working together as a team

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR IN A CANDIDATE?

• Experience of the SDLC in a similar role
• Experience of Agile methodologies and creating user flows and data mapping
• Eye for identifying the underlying requirement/rationale
• Able to demonstrate awareness for a multi-year vision of the product roadmap
• Analytical thinking, can model requirements from high to low level of detail
• Flexible in approach, can identify and challenge assumptions
• Ability to collaborate with employees from all departments and at all levels within SmartSearch
• Self-starting, can lead own work and build relationships across the business
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills – the ability to listen, understand, influence, and inspire

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
