What you'll do
- Work on projects for Sky Go, Sky News & Sky Sports across Web and Mobile which include app migrations, re-platforming, integrations, platform reliability and security
- Work with key delivery team members including Heads of Technology, Software Engineering Managers and Scrum Masters in a proactive manner to ensure successful management of the project work, and to provide clarity of tasks and actions required.
- Plan projects utilising previous experience in project planning processes and techniques, whilst encompassing agile delivery methodologies as needed and working closely with delivery teams to create an accurate, representative view in a dynamic change environment.
- Working with team members to produce forecasts based on estimates and any changes during project lifecycle, supervising actuals throughout, and handling variances in a clear and timely manner with project collaborators.
- Ensure governance and controls are in place to ensure projects are delivered in a visible, responsible, and clear manner, and ensure adherence to relevant project delivery frameworks, utilising both traditional and agile methodologies as required by the project.
- Take accountability for all expectations and communications; build and maintain high quality relationships to ensure that all resources and contributors are fully behind the delivery which includes reporting status, progress and change updates.
- Develop effective working relationships at all levels and handle project risks, issues and dependencies.
- Ensure visibility and clarity of reporting and work proactively to tackle problems and mitigate challenges to delivery with project team members and other collaborators and SMEs as needed.
What you'll bring
- Depth of experience in working as a Project Manager on complex, critical business applications.
- A real ‘can do’ approach and an appetite to really turn a problem to a solution working with your team.
- Detailed experience in RAID management and proactive issue resolution.
- Solid track record in management of cross-functional projects, delivering business change into operational, customer focussed environments.
- Solid track record of project planning
- Evidence of an in depth understanding of project lifecycle methodologies, supported by good project management skills, including the application of project management practices to support agile delivery
