TRANSPORT SUPERVISOR

Shield Foods is a fast-growing Gourmet Seafood Supplier to restaurants in London and the surrounding counties. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Transport Supervisor to join our transport team in South Ruislip. This full-time Transport Supervisor role offers a competitive salary of £30,000 - £33,000 DOE.

Some of your primary duties as a Transport Supervisor will include:

Your duties will include but not limited to:

· Ensure all drivers are compliant in all regulations such as, a valid clean driving license and hours of work (working time legislation)

· Maintain the day to day responsibility of all drivers, ensuring they are all trained and have the knowledge needed to complete the job.

· Recruit high quality drivers

· Implement a KPI structure for drivers, and ensure they are all achieving any set targets and managing bonus tracker

· Assist with managing fuel usage

· Work closely with the technical team to make sure BRC, and safety regulations are met.

· Manage the fleet of vans and cars ensuring they are well maintained and road worthy

· Deal with any PCNs and fines received

· In conjunction with the above, ensure all driver performance are met by setting expectations, conducting regular reviews, and implementing corrective action when required.

· Work alongside HR if there are any performance issues and dismissals that will need to be carried out

When completing driving duties:

· Loading, unloading, and inspecting products to ensure you have the right products for your customer and your route

· Delivering goods to hotels and restaurants over London, M25 and outer M25

· Verifying all invoices are signed correctly

· Ensuring any cash on delivery procedures are adhered to

· Cleaning the vans after delivery; ensuring the interior and exterior of vehicles are maintained

· Completing all necessary vehicle and delivery paperwork before and after the delivery route

· Ensuring BRC standards are met

· Ensure van temperature checks are taken

· Second deliveries may also be needed

Your hours of work:

Tuesday - Saturday, 5am - 3pm
