Our Network Control team have an opportunity for you to join as our new Network Controller.


In your new role, aside to being a great fit for our team, you’ll have strong analytical experience with the ability to prioritise incoming tasks, work in a pressurised environment and be confident using multiple IT systems to identify problems and co-ordinate data. You’ll also have excellent communication skills and experience of influencing stakeholders at all levels. It would also be beneficial if you have knowledge of sewerage systems & assets and/or experience of working within in a control centre environment.


WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE


We're looking for someone who has a brilliant work ethic and can work as part of a team to deliver project objectives. As a Network Controller, you'll take accountability for decisions that impact customers, finances, and our reputation, by providing expert technical advice in our Incident Control room.


Your key accountabilities in helping us will be:


  • You’ll be responsible take the lead on Event or Incident taking accountability for decisions which impact customers, financials and or reputational impact and provide expert technical advice in our Incident Control room liaising with key roles for Operational Tactical or Strategic events.
  • You’ll carry our proactive analysis and interpretation of service failure risk from multiple data sources and take functional and regional responsibility for the effective network operation.
  • Drive continuous improvement mind-set across our teams and identify asset management improvements and opportunities, raising risks in a formal manner through STW systems.
  • Record & gather data for regulatory requirements including proactive updates to key stakeholders during events and incidents.
  • This is a 24/7 x 365 shift-based role including working weekends and bank holidays so a very flexible approach will be required.
