We have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Tester to join our IT team.
What’s the opportunity?
The Tester is responsible for working alongside the project manager and project team to support the implementation of Microsoft Business Central 365, this role will be to conduct end to end testing for the full scope of the business, to identify bugs and ensure operational functionality to reduce any impact to the successful implementation of the new ERP system.
What does the role involve?
- Create and deliver a test strategy and plan, covering the full scope of the business, project and all phases
- Agree and deliver a test approach alongside the project manager
- Document end to end test scripts for the business processes identified in scope
- Complete integration, regression and performance testing
- Manage user testing and the coordination of the subject matter experts for user testing
- Manage daily bug calls with the relevant consultant, developer and business users
- Provide progress updates of each test phase and report progress in an agreed template for each phase of the project
- Deliver a test strategy and plan for each phase of the project
- Deliver a test approach
- Document all test scripts for in scope items
- Complete integration, regression and performance testing
- Manage and support user testing
- Provide updates to the project manager on progress made throughout testing
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Experience of manual testing of an ERP system
- Experience in fast paced project environment with knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders
- Problem-solving skills
- The ability to work under pressure
- Attention to detail
- The ability to work in a team and individually
- Organisational skills with the capability of working towards tight deadlines
- Minimum of 3 years’ manual testing experience in fast paced corporate environment
Desirable knowledge
- Experience from working in a retail environment
- Knowledge of MS Business Central 365
- Experience in a senior testing role
