About us:

We all know happiness comes from within. And it’s no different with Money Happiness. It starts right here! At Saffron BS we’re ready to build it, inspire it and celebrate it with our members, people and communities.

So whatever that 'happy’ is - from picking up the keys, to saving for that big day - we’re here with open arms, curious minds and the kettle on. Ready to cheer our members on when they’re winning, or build them back up when things haven’t gone to plan. And why? Because that’s what families do.

For us, this is much more than a job. We’re here to make things better, roll up our sleeves and think what’s next to rebuild. Our people are the beating heart of Saffron and it takes each and every one of us to provide the service we’re proud of.

So bring you! Your energy, an abundance of team spirit and your hunger to help.

Together we’re building happy.

The role:

The Business Analyst role is required to work as part of an existing Project Team to implement required changes introduced by the FCA in the form of Consumer Duty. The successful candidate will oversee our business processes, policies, products, and solutions ensuring project deliverables are achieved to Time & Quality.

The FCA has concerns that customers aren’t always getting the right product or service and so the Consumer Duty sets out a higher standard than existing regulation, applied to all financial services firms. The approach focuses less on rules and more towards outcomes-based regulation, the new Consumer Duty obliges firms to act to deliver good outcomes for retail clients. It will focus on evidence with firms expected to be able to produce all Governance, Processes, MI etc upon request.

  • Analysing and documenting customer journeys, identifying customer service risk and proposing solutions
  • Progressing specific actions that could minimise or mitigate risks/gaps identified (e.g. conduct risk, operational risk or credit risk etc)
  • Analysing current ways of working & solutions and feedback suggested improvements
  • Considering opportunities and potential risks attached to suggestions made
  • Reviewing and understanding technical documents from internal and third-party suppliers

About you:

  • Experienced in organising and facilitating workshops with business stakeholders and co-ordinating cross departmental changes and bringing various stakeholders together to clarify requirements
  • Competence in writing reports and making presentations to highlight the effect of changes made
  • Strong planning skills with a proactive view of dependencies; ability to self-manage commitments and deadlines
  • Passionate about building excellence through delivering a service you can be proud of
