Our HR Operational Delivery team is at an exciting point in its evolution. We are currently looking for an experienced Head of HR Change & Delivery Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience of automating our current labour intensive, manual processes. Having implemented our ERP (Unit4) in 2017, we are currently in the process of optimising that platform as well as introducing an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) for all recruitment as well as on-boarding processes. Our digital roadmap will include reviewing our payroll processes and platform (Sage) to ensure it fully integrates with Unit4 for complete end to end automated data management. The successful candidate will be responsible for this migration. They will lead this team and drive transformational operational business change, a key function of this role.

The role holder will be responsible for central HR Operational Delivery; payroll, recruitment and admin. Driving transformational change, improving our HR processes by streamlining the service we provide and automating what we do. As such it is an attractive blend of strategic design & delivery, allied to operational delivery and management.

The Role:

Strategy & Planning

· Ensure HR strategies align to business strategies & goals

· Engage with senior business, functional leaders & IT team as well as our digital team to drive the change agenda.

· Automating what we do on a HR & payroll function point of view

· Provide expertise in employment lifecycle strategies

Leadership

· Lead the HR support services team

· Be instrumental in making HR a centre of excellence

· Communicate with all relevant parties. Understanding stakeholder requirements and ensuring all necessary parties are informed and prepared for each stage of programme change.

· Managing the HR support team and Payroll team (5)

Operational Delivery

· Deliver service excellence, measured by agreed metrics

Project Planning & Management

· Overseeing the creation, development, and delivery of project plans for the HR project, including confirmation of project milestones, and progress reporting

· Leading and delivering the change implementation throughout the project life cycle (initiate, plan, and design, execute, monitor & control, and close).

· Design project roadmap and activity-level plans, tracking progress.

· Provide detailed project management plans, ensuring successful change delivery by establishing clear goals, identifying potential issues / risks, and developing contingency plans where necessary.

Process design & optimisation

· Improve current onboarding process – ensuring we are not replicating what we are doing

· Drive HR change and HR process improvements:

o Identifying ways to reduce transactional activity

o Supporting the on-going shift to employee/manager self-service

o Supporting process re-engineering activity to simplify HR processes

The Candidate:

· Good experience of leading a small team and overseeing HR Operational Delivery outputs

· Strong relationship & stakeholder management skills - experience in working as trusted advisor at senior business leader level on critical, complex challenges.

· Understanding of the payroll function, and ideally to have Payroll system knowledge, Sage preferred

· Experience in HR process improvement / re-engineering / automating/delivery

· Courage and determination to challenge current practices.

· Expertise in transformational change and change management methods and their application, with emphasis on driving measurable business results.

· Capability and comfort to move from strategic reviews to hands on operational matters.

· Ability to influence effectively at different organisational levels.

· Confident, resilient, and able to offer credible advice.

· Strong problem-solving skills, combined with positive 'can-do' attitude.

· Proven leadership of the delivery of excellent service to challenging customers

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Up to £65,000.00 per year
