RPS is a leader in delivering projects in complex marine environments including offshore wind farm developments. Our experience includes 20 years at the forefront of the industry, working across the UK, wider Europe, America, Australia and Asia.

When you join RPS you’ll become a member of a deeply experienced consenting team who have been selected as the lead Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) consultant for some of the industries major “firsts”. These include the world’s largest offshore wind farms Orsted’s Hornsea One, Two and Three, and Scotland’s largest offshore wind farm SSE’s Berwick Bank.

Recent examples include bp and EnBW’s first offshore wind farm in England (Morgan), Wales (Mona) and Scotland (Morven), and Australia’s first offshore wind project, CIP’s Star of the South. We are also providing marine subject matter expertise to support Vineyard Wind, the United States’ first utility-scale offshore wind energy project and have been selected as ESIA consultant for Equinor’s Firefly floating offshore wind project in South Korea.

We are looking to recruit highly motivated and ambitious Senior and Principal level Marine Ecologists for a wide variety of high-profile offshore projects in the UK, Ireland and internationally. As we continue to expand into new markets, our team will also support offshore permitting in the US, Australia and across Asia.

Who

  • Experience of working as part of a team, including liaising with other technical specialists, e.g. marine processes, underwater noise
  • Knowledge and practical expertise of marine ecological survey design and execution, data collection, analysis and interpretation
  • Ability to communicate technical information to a range of audiences, through high quality written work and oral presentations
