GRP Laminator

RP Motorhomes is a family run, specialist Motorhome convertor business based in Yeadon, near Leeds & Bradford Airport. A unique and exciting position has become available due to the increase of our workload, and we are looking for a new member of our team. We are a growing business, converting Mercedes Benz panel vans into luxury motorhomes and we are looking for an individual with drive and determination who is able to work in our fast-paced environment.

We are looking to recruit a motivated individual to join our busy team. The ideal candidate must have an awareness of working to production targets whilst maintaining incredibly high standards.

In this role as laminator, you will be laminating layers of fiberglass on moulds (by hand) to form a wide range of products. You will be:

• Selecting fiberglass matt, cloth, and wood-bracing materials as required by projects being made
• Forming layers of saturated fibreglass into place on moulds, using brushes or rollers, and smoothing out wrinkles and air bubbles with same tools
• Bonding wood reinforcing strips to products, using resin-saturated fiberglass
• Trimming excess materials from moulds, and finished products using hand tools
• Applying gel coat by hand using a variety of tools
• Undertaking general housekeeping duties

To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate the following:

• Experience of laminating fibreglass
• Experience working with glass reinforced plastic
• Be aware and respectful of health and safety on site
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent time management and time keeping
• Flexibility and the ability to multi-task within the working environment
• Consistency in producing a high-quality product
• The ability to work in a varied and fast paced environment
• A self-motivated, positive outlook and work ethic

This position is full time (40 hours PW) and permanent upon completion of a successful 3-month probationary period. A full driving licence is required. Hours 8-5pm (with flexibility required during busy periods for additional hours which will involve some weekends).
