Divisional Director of Nursing - Band 8d

This is an extremely exciting and unique opportunity, as we are looking for three highly experienced and inspirational Nurse Leaders to join us as a new cohort of Divisional Directors of Nursing, representing our Medical, Surgical, and Family and Specialist Services divisions. This opportunity has arisen as the result of three internal promotions.

Leading a positive and inclusive culture will be one of your top priorities, ensuring that our patients are at the heart of everything we do. The post holders will be responsible for the strategic direction and lead on current divisional priorities such as: The new cancer building opening in 2023; A new modular theatres expansion of surgical care and a new dedicated day surgery unit; The restructuring of the bed base into a large single foot-print ITU; The re-configuration of the paediatric department; Transforming the Breast Unit outpatients into a one-stop model; and a Hospital at Home expansion.

You will continue utilising our Walk-around Wednesdays in clinical areas, leading 'clinical Fridays', daily staffing and morning quality safety huddles, we are looking for a highly credible and visible clinically focused role-model with your high standards and expectations leading to a positive impact on services.
