We are looking for experienced and self motivated Electrical Engineers and Solar PV Electricians keen to grow with our fast paced company.

The role

- Identify and undertake electrical work as directed

- Liaise with other employees of the Company as necessary in order to complete specified works

- Ensure levels of productivity and work within the required timescales/categories or to targets

- Receive, plan and complete job orders on time and to quality

- Ensure that all relevant documentation is processed and systems are completed in a timely manner

- Conduct work in accordance with required specification current legislation, British Standards, Codes of Practice, safe systems of work and recognized industrial standards of such work.

- Embrace the use of In House Systems.

- Undertake work on electrical installations in accordance with the latest IEE Wiring Regulations.

- Undertake fault-finding and diagnostic work as required to repair and maintain electrical installations

- Be prepared to work the necessary hours to finish the jobs

- Carry out inspection and testing on new and existing installations and completing appropriate test certification

- Carry out minor making good works.

- Undertake essential reinstatement work as necessary in order to ensure premises are left in a secure, safe and weather tight condition

- Deal courteously and efficiently with clients, customers and the general public to maintain and enhance the reputation of Renova Energy

- Continually demonstrate an understanding and commitment to Customer Care

- Ensure that there is clear communication with customers in respect of work to be undertaken and following completion of the job

About you

• Required: BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regs qualified.
• Required: SVQ level 3 in Scotland or equivalent
• Required: City and Guilds / NVQ level 3 in England or equivalent.
• Required: 18th edition Part P certified in England
• Required: Demonstrated knowledge of Scottish Building Standards regulations (Scotland)

• Preferable: C&G 2391 Electrical Inspection and Testing or Equivalent
• Preferable: Previous experience in solar installation, wiring of PV panels and storage batteries.
• Preferable: knowledge of MCS testing and sign off procedures and documentation. (MIS3002, MIS3012, Guide to the Installation of Solar PV Systems etc.)
• Competent to work directly from drawings and scopes of work
• Highly motivated and pro-active
• Previous experience in testing and inspection preferred
• Ability to complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner when working under pressure
• Ability to work alone or as part of a team
• Ability to be able to work away
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• The applicant must hold a full driving license

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £35,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
