This is an exciting opportunity to join our small IT team who manage the technology behind the scenes, ranging from 100+ computers, all the users, critical servers and much more.
Ragdale Hall Spa is a family business, with family values. To our guests we are a highly regarded spa resort, but it is brought to life by an incredible team of people delivering amazing guest experiences in a fantastic environment brimming with innovative facilities.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, forward-thinking individual to join the team. Reporting to the IT Manager, the successful applicant will help assist in the day-to-day duties of the IT department, offering IT support to colleagues across all departments, and assisting in ongoing projects and routine tasks.
Good all-round IT skills are required to perform this role, as there are a lot of varying systems in place across the site. Ability to work on your own and in a team, using your own initiative to solve problems is advantageous.
Key activities include
- Providing IT support to colleagues.
- Liaising with 3rd party companies for support and ongoing projects.
- Maintaining and monitoring systems.
- Auditing and asset management.
- Installation and configuration of new equipment and software.
- Researching and recommending beneficial changes.
- Planning and documentation
- Ensuring a high level of IT security is maintained across the company
Required Characteristics
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in English and Maths.
- Relevant work experience or qualification(s) in IT.
- Highly motivated and able to work on own initiative and in a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Windows based operating systems.
- Experience with physical hardware (networking and computers).
- Experience with Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Genuine interest in the field of IT and willingness to learn.
- Maintain a high level of IT Security.
- Programming skills (desirable)
- Experience with Active Directory and GPO's (desirable)
- Experience in building computers (desirable)
- Experience in Linux, Android and Apple systems (desirable)
Hours of work
39 hours per week working Monday - Friday with occasional weekend work. Hours are worked between 8.30am – 5.30pm.
Salary
£22,000 - £22,500 per annum plus gratuities.
