Job title; Summer Harvest Help (Grain Hauler)

We are looking for a Harvest Help to join our team for the 2023 summer harvesting operatrions. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the harvesting of crops together with a highly skilled team.
You will be responsible for operating and maintaining harvesting equipment, adhering to safety protocols, and reporting any issues to the supervisor. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain further expeirence in harvest operations.
Responsibilities:
- Tractor driving (gain hauling).
- Maintaining cleanliness of harvesting machinery.
- Monitoring the quality of the crop being harvested.
- Keeping records of the amount of crops harvested.
- Operating a rough terrain forklift (Manitou).
- Working in a team environment.
- Working in a safe manner.
To be considered you must be able to demonstrate the following;
- large tractor and trailer (12 ton+) capability - essential
- Telehandler operators certificate - desirable
- Previous harvesting expeirence - desirable
- Ability to work 12 hour shifts during busy periods
- Flexibilty for down time depending on weather conditions
- Able to attend the farm daily as required (in SP5)
Visa sponsoship is not available for this position. Applicants with farming experience on youth mobility visas (backpackers) are welcomed and accomodation may be available.
Job Type: Temporary contract
Contract length: 2 months
Salary: £7.49-£10.42 per hour
