An exciting role for a technology enthusiast, interested in learning and writing about innovative technologies being developed in the UK. It is also an opportunity to learn about the UK Research & Development (R&D) tax legislation, and how this legislation is applied and rewards the companies that carry out the R&D.
The role is ideal for a Computer Scientist or other engineering university graduate
who is interested in gaining a broad knowledge of current R&D areas. It will involve collaboration with a large PwC team of legislation and technology experts.


Typical activities to be performed include:

  • Join technology interviews and write detailed notes

  • Write initial drafts summarising the technology interviews

  • Research to help summarise the technology terms discussed

  • Write documents that summarise the R&D analysis process

  • Work with tools [e.g. Power Point] to prepare presentations

  • Preparation of emails to send to engineers being interviewed

  • On the job training to learn and summarise areas of technology

  • Optional: Work with tools [e.g. Excel or Alteryx] to help quantify R&D

Requirements

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills (English)

  • Computer science or other engineering related university degree or masters

  • Strong technical documentation writing skills

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google’s office suite

  • Optional: Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (or Alteryx) tools
