Warehouse Assistant

Position Summary

An exciting opportunity has come available for a Warehouse Assistant within our Warehouse Team at Purdicom.

The principal duties will be:

• Checking and booking in stock
• Picking, packing and booking stock out
• Sorting Warehouse replenishments
• Carrying out stock takes as and when required
• Ensuring all paperwork is completed fully, filed or archived in the appropriate manner
• Assisting all departments in any queries/requests made to the warehouse
• Liaising with couriers when requested to ensure all items are tracked, shipped or collected promptly.
• Carrying out any reasonable tasks as and when requested by logistics supervisor/management
• Carrying out any maintenance tasks that are required, ie lawns etc

We are looking for the following skills and experience:

• Counter balance and/or Reach Truck is essential
• Previous experience within a warehouse environment
• A basic understanding of ISO9001 and Health & Safety requirements is desired
• To gradually learn and amass knowledge and detailed understanding of Warehouse Procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to listen and articulate effectively
• To converse with all people throughout the organisation
• To be flexible on working hours and to work longer hours as the job may entail.
• Must be content to work in a semi-rural environment.
• To travel when and where necessary if required.
