Executive Assistant to the Chair and Vice Chair

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Executive Assistant to join the Public Health Wales Board Business Unit. The purpose of the job is to provide excellent and comprehensive executive and administrative support to the Chair, Vice-Chair and the wider Board team.

The role of Executive Assistant to the Chair and Vice-Chair is a key role within the organisation. The successful person will have a pivotal role whereby you can develop your career at an exciting time. Working within the Board Business Unit and closely with members of the wider team, you will be responsible for providing excellent and comprehensive executive and administrative support to our Board Committees. This is a key role to the effective running of Public Health Wales.

The role will include planning and organising complex activities and logistics, providing high level support as required, ensuring that the Chair and Vice-Chair are provided with appropriate support.

This will include coordinating briefings, handling confidential and sensitive information and communicating/liaising with Chairs and Vice-Chairs of Health Boards and Trusts, Offices of Welsh Government Cabinet Secretaries and Ministers, wider partners including Local Authorities and national bodies.

The post holder will also assist the Board Secretary and Head of Board Business Unit with the management of Board and Committee level meetings. This will include the collation, tracking and dissemination of papers, taking of minutes and management of actions.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
