We are looking for a Front-End Developer to join our global Fabric & Home Care R&D Digital Innovation Team to help design and build best-in-class IT Solutions supporting our Manufacturing Operations & Research and Development teams around the world.

Our Front-End Developer will be responsible for helping to design and implement a new global AI platform to facilitate R&D making irresistibly superior products, both now and in the future, as well as contributing to the design of other applications within our newly established Newcastle Developer Village.

Responsibilities:

  • Development:

    • Partner with UI/UX design team to create industry leading front-end interfaces.

    • Partner with Back End developers to ensure seamless full stack integration.

    • Apply Dev Ops best practices using our CI/CD stack

  • Security:

    • Make sure our applications are, and stay, secure in line with industry best practices and P&G InfoSec Policies

  • Operations:

    • Provide break-fix support.

    • Continuously iterate and improve designs based on user feedback and analytics data

  • Build and sustain centre of expertise, share best practices with local teams and key partners

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven Experience with:

    • JavaScript / Python / SQL / HTML / CSS

      • Vue.JS or other similar JS frameworks preferred but not required

      • Micro frontend experience desirable

    • GitHub / Azure DevOps / Automated Testing

  • A passion for data driven applications with curiosity for applying machine learning to solve business problems

  • A genuine interest in engineering / manufacturing / R&D (applications in scope are primarily run in factories, R&D sites with production machines/lab systems)

  • Passionate people with deep technical skills and demonstrated experience (ability to configure and code)

  • Good understanding of Information Security, Operational Excellence and IT Stewardship

  • Strong drive to continuously learn & explore industry trends and apply ideas on wicked problems for assessment.

  • English proficiency
