We are looking for a proactive and ambitious Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our team. The candidate will complete sheet metal work in accordance with the company's fabrication processes. A day in your role as a Sheet Metal Fabricator will involve:
- Conducting manufacturing functions from start to finish
- Develop and fabricate items including but not limited to lobster backed bends, elbows, tee pieces, reducers, square to rounds, vessel dome heads, valve, flange boxes
- Conducting quality assurance checks and ensuring product matches specifications
- Cleaning the work area to ensure a clean and tidy environment is maintained
- Completing visual inspections of equipment and machinery
- Working with the Fabrication Technical Team Leader to develop skills and knowledge
- Providing support to Fabrication Facility Supervisor when required
- Working with Trainees
- Review drawings and specifications as per job requirement
- Appropriate use of templates, measuring instruments and tools.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Engineering/production experience
- Experience of quality control
- Experience with technical drawings
- Knowledge on Health and Safety
- Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings/requisitions
