Our Opportunity

We are looking for an enthusiastic, pro-active Bid Writer in the East Midlands to join Pick Everard’s Bid Hub – a central team responsible for tender management across all our divisions and offices. This is a great opportunity for budding bid writers to develop their skills and start their journey in proposals management, within a national consultancy.

Your typical duties in this Bid Writer role will include:

  • Write technical and non-technical tender responses
  • Co-ordinate the writing process for low and medium priority bids
  • Responsibility for understanding the internal bid management process and systems in order to assist/coach and develop bid co-ordinators and other team members when required
  • Review opportunities and identify any positive and negative factors
  • Structure proposals to meet the requirements of the customers’ evaluation team
  • Review material from previous proposals with recommendations for appropriate usage including the use of storyboarding.
  • Assist in the design and completion of storyboards and bid plans
  • Understand the review process and implement on tenders
  • Report on bid progress through appropriate internal channels
  • Provide feedback and reviews, proof reading and editing support as required
  • Set up bid response documents
  • Create and edit bid responses for PQQ and SQ documents
  • Submit proposals through portals or emails, in line with client requirements
  • Complete company information and company responses within bids
  • Complete CVs and case studies to within bids
  • Provide general administration support to the team as required
  • Liaison with other departments offering effective customer service in a professional manner

About You

Ideally you will have the following skills, experience and attributes:
  • APMP Foundation Level
  • Good writing skills with the ability to write in a concise and convincing manner
  • Skills in reviewing and editing written content
  • Good time management skills
  • Personable attitude and willingness to engage with people from all levels of the business
  • Attention to detail
  • A general understanding or willingness to learn about the construction and property industry
  • Degree-level education -English, History or Engineering

This role will suit a Bid Writer looking for a new challenge to join a successful bidding team. You will have the chance to learn from highly experienced Bid Writers and Bid Managers to hone your skills. Within this role you will carry out all aspects of the bidding process.
