What will you do?

Your role will involve assisting corporate immigration law solicitors in the progression of cases. You will gain experience and training across the full mix of business immigration cases with a focus on businesses that are recruiting overseas talent. This will include:

  • Assisting in the preparation of sponsor licence applications across all Tiers of the points-based system
  • An understanding and management of the sponsor management system
  • Applying for certificate of sponsorships and allocating these to workers that our business clients wish to sponsor
  • Preparing and filing visa applications
  • Legal research on points of law
  • Assist in the relationship management with our key clients

Skills and Experience

  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office products.
  • Degree in Law or similar qualification.
  • Minimum of 12 months experience in a legal or human resources setting.
  • A strong eye for detail and relationship management

· A professional and enthusiastic approach to your work.

· Ability to prioritise and manage own workload without supervision.

· Excellent organisational skills, you must be able to co-ordinate tasks simultaneously and prioritise effectively.

· You will be highly results driven.

Reporting directly to the Head of Corporate Immigration the successful candidate will work closely with all our lawyers and administrators in the business immigration team.

This role will give the successful candidate the opportunity to gain experience and build a career with one of the leading corporate immigration law teams in the UK. As such you must have the ambition to develop into a leading lawyer yourself. You will be given support and training to meet this ambition.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £21,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience in this area of law.

Education:

  • Degree or Diploma of Higher Education (essential)

Experience:

  • 1 year of previous legal or HR experience

Language:

Work remotely:

  • Yes, but you must have the ability to travel to our Nottingham office for part of the week and when required.
