About the role:

This is an amazing opportunity to join our rapidly growing team as a Senior .NET Developer at Oxford Medical Simulation here in the UK. You will be reporting directly to our lead engineer and be instrumental in the development of a new application to help create our award-winning clinical VR scenarios, used by learners all over the world.

Because of you, OMS is delivering more training, more quickly, to those that need it in healthcare and healthcare education globally.

Responsibilities:

As a .NET Developer you will be joining a team of enthusiastic and supportive developers with a wide range of experience building a complex new web application. You will participate in daily scrum meetings, sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives where all team members are active participants. You will be collaborating on design decisions, developing new and existing features, peer reviewing code and contributing to the ongoing evolution of our team's processes.

  • You are an excellent communicator and are able to, and enjoy, working with non-technical people on technical issues.

  • You live in the UK and have the right to work.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong C# skills
  • ASP.NET
  • .NET Core and / or .NET 5
  • Visual Studio 2019
  • Comfortable with using the debugger in Visual Studio.
  • Unit and Integration Testing
  • Entity Framework Core.
  • SQL (generic knowledge)
  • Source code versioning using Git.
  • Bonus points for any of the following:

  • AWS (We use a variety of services including Elastic Container Service and Relational Database Service)
