We are looking for a proactive and flexible administrator to help support our Clinical Placements Team to work collaboratively across the Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West Integrated Care System.

We’re looking for someone who is organised, forward-thinking, has plenty of enthusiasm and motivation, and works well in a team. Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and written and verbal communication skills are essential.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator to support the team with the clinical placements expansion programme, which is already underway.

The post holder will provide administrative support to the Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West Integrated Care System, Clinical Placements Team. This team has been developed to increase placement capacity for pre-registration nursing, midwifery, and Allied Health Professional learners.

You will be required to deal with general enquiries from private, voluntary, and independent organisations, relating to placement opportunities. The post holder will also be involved in communication with all our key stakeholders across the Integrated Care System.

You will work closely with all members of the team and be able to signpost queries to the relevant team member.

You will be required to develop a working knowledge of the Clinical Placement Team and our role within the Integrated Care System and also across the South East region.

The post holder is required to be an excellent communicator and data entry clerk. The post holder will be responsible for supporting with the organisation of documents, booking meetings, taking minutes, and circulating information to relevant stakeholders.

You will liaise with administrative and clinical colleagues across NHS Trusts, social care, and private, voluntary and independent organisations.

You will work collaboratively with other members of the team to support all aspects of our ongoing projects and offer an organised approach to managing queries, meetings and documents.

Working hours within this role are flexible, but must fall within the core hours of the team between 8am - 5pm.
Person specification
Qualifications
Essential criteria• Higher Education qualification (i.e. 'A' Level/NVQ III standard) or equivalent/previous experience in an Administration Assistant role.

Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria• Experience of using Office computer programs including MS Teams, Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Ability to manage and prioritise own workload
  • Ability to liaise with both key stakeholders and all professionals in a confident and effective manner
Desirable criteria• Experience of working in a healthcare environment

People Skills
Essential criteria• Able to communicate with staff across all levels of the organisation and integrated care system.

  • New starters have a 6 month probationary period. This, together with the induction process aims to create a positive supportive working environment allowing new employees to learn key elements of their role over a reasonable timescale.
  • Candidates not currently employed by the Trust who attend an interview for non-qualified Band 1-5 posts are required to undertake numeracy and literacy assessments.
