Cyber Security Analyst

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a technically-minded and current Cyber Security Analyst to come on board and join our Cyber Security function. You will take a key role in supporting our cyber security strategy.
Accountabilities

• Keeping up to date with the latest security and technology developments
• Research/evaluate emerging cyber security threats and ways to manage them
• Assisting in the creation of incident management plans and play books
• Test and evaluate security products
• Work with 3rd parties to monitor for attacks, intrusions, and unusual, unauthorized, or illegal activity
• Investigate security alerts and assist with incident response, escalating where required
• Support penetration and vulnerability testing, reviewing results, and supporting remedial activities
• Provide assurance in relation to 3rd party security service providers, escalating issues for resolution where appropriate.
• Monitor identity and access management, including monitoring for abuse of permissions by authorised system users
• Generate reports for both technical and non-technical staff and stakeholders
• Maintain an information security risk register and assist with internal and external audits relating to information security
• Monitor and respond to 'phishing' emails and 'pharming' activity, acting as a security evangelist supporting staff and projects across the organisation
• Assist with the creation, maintenance and delivery of cyber security awareness training for colleagues
• Provide input into information security policies, standards and procedures
• Providing input into monthly risk reporting and metric (RACM)

Required Skills

• Must have 2+ years prior experience in a similar role
• Prior experience of Operational experience in cyber security incident response and threat hunting
• Passion for cyber security and up-to-date on the latest security technologies
• Good understanding of encryption, network and cloud security
• Familiar with Zero trust, cloud first concepts and relevant security tooling
• Demonstrates an understanding of the organisational attack surface
• Has a good understanding of techniques for securing and monitoring cloud and network environment’s specifically Azure, GCP and AWS
• Knowledge and operational experience with Active Directory. Access and Identity Management solutions
• Operational experience of maintaining vulnerability scanning scheduling, policy configuration and reporting
• Good written communication skills, for example, to write technical reports

Nice to have

• Comptia Security+, Azure Security Engineer, AWS Certified Security, Google cloud security engineer, CCSP, or are working towards one (or more) of these qualifications.
• Prior experience of security across multiple clouds and SAAS vendors

The ideal candidate will have worked in online retail businesses of a similar nature and has excellent attention to detail and good analytical skills. A self-starter able to multi-task and prioritise own workload, able to work collaboratively. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships are a prerequisite.
Excellent technical knowledge of information security practices, particularly as they relate to cloud and anywhere operations is essential as the business’ core strategy is to be the UK’s best online grocer.
