You will provide the Scotland team with strategic support to deliver their plans locally and will need strong knowledge of the education system in Scotland. You will seek opportunities to work externally with key partners and stakeholders to maximise our work in schools across Scotland.

Our Schools Service sits within Local Services, and you will form important relationships with colleagues across Scotland, including Local Campaigns and the Regional Assistant Director; as well as national services, such as Childline.

You will join a team of 9 other Schools Managers, who work together with the Strategic Service Manager – Schools, Reach Coordinator and Volunteer Development Coordinator to provide strategic direction and develop our work in schools. Schools Managers support one another by taking leads on different areas of work such as volunteer recruitment and safeguarding.

As a member of our team, our organisational values and behaviours will be important to you. We want someone who will take a child-centred approach, has a strong belief in the rights of children, and has a clear understanding and commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of life and practice.

You will have relevant experience of delivering programmes in an educational or safeguarding setting. You will also have followed safeguarding procedures, have excellent relationship management skills, enjoy working with people, have experience in all elements of volunteer management, have strong planning and organisational skills and have experience of meeting set targets.

Please apply by filling out the full application form (CV's will not be accepted) and a supporting statement that provides your experience with clear examples that demonstrate how you meet each point of the person spec.
