About the Organisation:
National Services Scotland (NSS) is a national NHS Board operating right at the heart of NHS Scotland (NHSS) providing support and advice at a strategic and operational level. NSS supports NHSS to deliver their services more efficiently and effectively and we offer shared services on a national scale using best-in-class systems and standards. We do this by working in partnership with colleagues across Health and Social Care to deliver fit for purpose solutions and systems, delivering high quality services that help our stakeholders to free up resources so they can be re-invested into essential services.
To meet the increasing demand from internal NSS customers, NHS Boards, Scottish Government, and the wider Public Sector in Scotland, NSS Digital & Security are recruiting a number of Digital Business Analysts. The core purpose of the Digital & Security organisation is the provision of world class digital and security expertise, solutions, and services to our customers.
The Post:
Using the variety of Business Analysis tools and techniques, the post holder will be responsible for helping our customers plan and implement their strategies to support the health and wellbeing of the people of Scotland.
- Iterative design which meets the needs of the business and aligns with the strategic direction of the organisation
- Understanding our customer business needs and requirements and creatively shaping and refining business solutions to meet those needs
- Guiding and advising clients to help them develop and deliver solutions that are aligned to the future technology architecture
- Working as part of multi-disciplinary project delivery teams to ensure that solutions are aligned with agreed outcomes and roadmaps
The Candidate:
You must be educated to Higher level or have equivalent, demonstrable experience. Knowledge and experience of working in a project delivery environment is required. You must be able to work collaboratively across multi-functional teams and have ability to quickly establish your credibility with customers and staff at all levels. The post holder must have working knowledge of agile methodology and be able to apply the agile mindset to all aspects of their work.
Location and Working Pattern:
The posts can be based at either Gyle Square, Edinburgh or Meridian Court, Glasgow .
However, it should be noted that NSS is currently in the process of relocating from Meridian Court to nearby Delta House, 50 West Nile Street Glasgow G1 2NP. Your contractual location will change to Delta House on the date of relocation, which is anticipated to take place no later than 31st August 2023.
We are currently working in a hybrid model, which is currently under review, and we would welcome a discussion from candidates not based near the above locations to discuss the logistics of this.
The working pattern for these roles are Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
