Your new role At NewDay

As a Fraud Prevention Specialist, you’ll use your expertise in analytics to help protect our company from financial losses caused by fraudulent activity. With your knowledge of data mining and data visualisation, you’ll analyse large data sets using best-in-class tools to identify patterns indicating fraudulent behaviour. You’ll then work collaboratively with the team and wider business to develop and implement strategies to prevent against it.

This is a challenging, fast-paced and rewarding role that requires a keen eye for detail and an ability to adapt to changing fraud landscapes. Ultimately, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference to our company’s success while helping to protect our customers from financial harm.

0-12 months you’ll deliver

  • Identify emerging threats and design sophisticated strategies across multiple systems to mitigate fraud
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to prevent fraud
  • Analyse transaction data and develop decline strategies to prevent unauthorised transactions
  • Provide actionable data insights to identify optimisation opportunities across our fraud systems

What you’ll bring

  • We need knowledge, experience + expertise in:
  • Coding languages such as SQL or SAS for data analysis
  • Fraud prevention tools such as Falcon and 3D-Secure
  • Data visualisation software such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Knowledge of the credit card and financial services sector
  • Excellent communication skills

And would love you to know or learn:

  • Python for data analytics and automation
  • An understanding of the payments ecosystem

As part of a wider fraud prevention team, you will also have to exposure to fraud prevention strategies across different fraud types and products.
